Garrett, who died in 2016; a sister, Viola Ingram; and brothers, Norman E. Cool and Edward D. Cool, John L. Cool and Guy F. Cool. Survivors include a son, Dwight L. Garrett and his wife, Pamela, of McSherrystown; a daughter, Deborah S. Shaffer and her companion, Rodney Bixler, of Hanover; four grandchildren, Todd A. Garrett of Virginia Beach, VA, Nicole L. Mummert, Amber T. Dubs and Benjamin K. Shaffer all of Hanover; and nine great-grandchildren.
